Every industry newspaper, from Architectural Digest to Dezeen to Wallpaper, carried a piece on the contemporary wonder, highlighting its various features and the seamless manner it integrates into its surroundings.

The home’s design employs some of the best features of Modernism in the desert, an aesthetic that embraces the desert environment, and uses low, sleek lines that make buildings blend in with the scenery, while featuring open interiors that keep that airy desert feeling.
“The home stands softly on its sloping site, anchored to the hill by the garage on the mountain-facing side while floating above the ground on the valley-facing side,” according to AD.

A bird’s eye view
The home is slightly raised to sit above the arroyos that have been on the site for thousands of years, so as not to disturb the natural surroundings. The design team prioritized maintaining the terrain’s integrity.
Patinated brass panels and floor-to-ceiling glass walls line the façade of the house, which departs from the classic mid-century architecture that is most usually associated with Palm Springs mansions.

Glass walls and breathtaking views
A glass-enclosed bridge unites the home’s two wings, creating a central atrium visible from virtually every room.
With enormous sliding glass doors spanning the length of the great room, giving a smooth transition to the outdoor facilities, which include a dining area, deck, pool, spa, fireplace, and lounge, the glass walls give breathtaking views of the desert in all directions.
