Without a vacation or make-up time, I went for years! According to my employer, it was never an appropriate moment given the requirements of the business.

I saw that my supervisor found it challenging to give me time off when the business had a lot going on. Every time he left for a trip, however, it was like being punched in the stomach, and I was never given the chance.
